Established in 1990 in CFB Borden, known then as Fern's Medal Mounting, and since 2001 as Medal Mounting Service. Located now in Barrie, Ontario and serving all of Canada.
Hello, my name is Anne Plant. How did I learn to mount medals? Twenty years ago I began working with Fern (my mom) in CFB Borden. My mom taught me to mount medals to the highest
standard and perfection. With her confidence in me, she eased into retirement and naturally I took over. My father was in the RCAF. He served in Germany and with the United Nations in the Middle East. So having earned the title "the medal mounting lady", I also have the distinct honour of being a "military brat".
Today I work from my residence in Barrie. I am married to an RCAF pilot (ret'd), whose father was an RCAF career pilot, who served in WWII and his father before him who fought in the trenches during WWI. So with my extensive family military background, an awesome teacher and professional dedication and experience, I take great pride and expertise in mounting the medals of the men and women who have served and are serving our country with such distinction.
